History
The shop was established in 1857 by Alexander Garrow, and then carried on by his son David Garrow. In 1934 Robert Alexander Gammack bought over the shop and ran it until 1958 when through ill health his son Charles took over, and Charles' daughters Lynn, Audrey and Ruth now run the business. Lynn is the Saddler and still makes and repairs all types of harness and leather goods. In retirement Charlie is to concentrate on his beekeeping and stickmaking.
Our offer to you
We can demonstrate leather goods being made and invite you to come to our workshop and choose the leather and buckle, to have a waist belt made to suit your own requirements.
